The only thing that’s known for certain is that Nanoose Bay’s Fairwinds Golf course has been sold – but further information, including the name of the purchaser has yet to be released by the development’s present management.
“At this time, I can only say that it’s a Vancouver based private company. We’ll soon be in touch with more details on this exciting news for Fairwinds,” explained Fairwinds’ General Manager Jim Olsen in an e-mail message July 2.
“We are pleased to share an exciting development regarding the sale of Fairwinds,” explained Fairwinds Community Association President Crystal Ironside stated to club members June 30.
“Although details aren’t being released until the formal confirmation of sale, we anticipate these coming soon and will get them out to everyone as soon as they are available. Personally, I think this is very good news for Fairwinds, especially if the new owners go ahead with the development.”
Overall the Fairwinds development incorporates some 700 homes in addition to a championship golf course, private fitness centre, trails and a full-service marina.
