WildPlay is celebrating their 25th year of offering bungy jumping to the citizens of Nanaimo/Central Vancouver Island. There will be an all day party Friday, September 4th, with extra park games being offered throughout the day and distribution of cake at 3pm

pawsSunday, September 13th, Scotiabank and BC SPCA will be hosting their annual Paws for a Cause walk to end animal cruelty at Maffeo Sutton Park. Registration is at 10am with the walk commencing at 11:45. Registration fees are $25 for an adult, $10 for youth and you get an event t-shirt. Live entertainment and BBQ lunch will follow. Help end animal cruelty and support homeless animals in our community!

Nanaimo North Town Centre has changed opening hours: Monday – Thursday and Saturday 10am-6pm, Friday – 10am-9pm, Sundays and Holidays 11am – 5pm

The Nanaimo Conservatory of Music, located at 375 Selby Street, will be celebrating Culture Days with an Open House event Saturday, September 26th @ 11am. Included in the festivities will be mini music lessons, an instrument petting zoo, student performances, prizes and refreshments!

Andrew Harris, running back for the BC Lions and former VI Raider, will be signing autographs this Saturday, September 5th at the Lighthouse Bistro. Stop in around 2pm to get the opportunity to meet this talented young man!
